Support before the MTC

Many Year 4 pupils approach the Multiplication Tables Check with confidence. For children facing disadvantage, family pressure, anxiety, SEND needs or reduced access to paid support, the experience can feel very different.

XTables Champions teaches multiplication through structured games and confidence-building activities designed to reduce pressure, encourage participation and help children engage without fear of getting things wrong.

What schools receive

A one-week guest pass for eligible families, shared by the school.

Completely free for UK primary schools

One week of school-specific guest access for up to 60 pupils

Open to disadvantaged pupils, families on benefits, single-parent households, children with a parent in prison, SEND-registered pupils and children who need calmer support

Not limited to Year 4 pupils

One-week access only — no subscription, tie-in or payment required

One-week guest access is arranged directly with schools so they can share it safely with eligible families.

This event is intended to give schools an extra layer of support during the MTC period, helping children practise in a way that feels safe, engaging and encouraging.
